Chair’s Letter – December 2019

Wow! Can you believe December is here and we are on the cusp of a new year!  2019 has been a great year for the Chamber.  We’ve finished this year stronger than ever!

The Chamber added a new event this year, a Career Fair, to recruit and match potential employees to businesses.  For the first year, it was a success.  There are plans for more in the future.

This year, the Chamber’s Leads Groups have grown.  Our membership meetings are very well attended.  We were fortunate enough to have the new County Executive, Dr. Sam Paige, to speak at our November luncheon.  It was very informative to all who attended.

The Nite of Stars Gala was held December 6, 2019, at the Christian Hospital Atrium.  It proved to be a wonderful evening full of great food, drink, entertainment, and dancing.  Thank you to our Chair, Kitty Harrison, and the committee, including the Chamber staff, for a job well done!  It was a beautiful evening.

I hope you will join me for the last Membership Meeting at Norwood Hills Country Club on December 18, 2019, from 11 am – 1 pm.   This meeting will update everyone on the state of the Chamber.  I look forward in seeing you all there!

I wish to take this moment to thank each and everyone of you for your support.  The Past Chair, Bret Berigan and Vice Chair, Misty Farr, especially for the support while I was out on leave this summer.  They continued  to fill in when I was missing, our Chamber never missed a beat.  Our Chamber is stronger than ever, and it is due to the volunteers and businesses that provide great support.  I am grateful that I have had the opportunity to work with all of you and this great organization that has made our communities even stronger by the commitment to the businesses of North County.
