Venus Martz Named President of the GNCC
Venus Martz has been named president of the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce. Martz will begin her duties on July 24th, 2017.
The Greater North County Chamber of Commerce serves the Cities of Bellefontaine Neighbors, Black Jack, Cool Valley, Ferguson, Florissant, Hazelwood, Jennings and other areas of North County. The chamber is a voluntary partnership of over 470 business and professional people working together to build a healthy economy and to improve the quality of life in the North County area.
“The Board and I are very pleased and excited that Ms. Martz has accepted the position,” said Mike Moehlenkamp, Greater North County Chamber Board Chair. “We believe that the Greater North County Chamber has a bright future ahead with her as our president.”
Martz is a marketing and communication professional currently serving as Communication Director for the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery. A graduate of Lindenwood University, Martz graduated Cum Laude with a BA in Communication.
In the past 7 years, Martz has managed projects from early design and planning stages, through implementation, with positive impact and measurable results. Martz is an expert in creating successful campaigns with specific goals and objectives, targeted at multiple audiences for different organizations including North County Incorporated, Regional Development Association, the Bridge at Florissant, Continuum of Care Marketing Association, the St. Louis Crisis Nursery, and others. She identifies opportunities for collaboration and relationship building to unite businesses, organizations and community leaders to strategically advance the mission of the company and community being served.
A philanthropist and dedicated community member, Martz has sat on the Board of Directors for the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce, Breakthrough Coalition and Professionals in Retirement Community Living. Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors for Show Me Arts Academy and Valley Industries. She has volunteered for organizations such as North County Incorporated, Regional Development Association, A Friendly Face, Soroptomist of Greater St. Louis and many other worthy organizations making a positive impact in the community.
Venus lives in the City of Florissant with her two beautiful kids, Kyrstiana and Kaleb and their dog, Romeo. In her spare time, she loves to travel, eat new food and read books. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path” Proverbs 3:5-6
