President’s Report – October 2018
It’s October! Bring out all things pumpkin spiced including lattes, pies, and candles! It’s crazy that we are at the last quarter of 2018! WOW! Time sure flies when you’re having fun! As we near the end of 2018, our Community Service Committee is asking for donations for our Holiday Toy and Cleaning Supply Drive. From October 1st to December 12th, drop off new, unwrapped toys and cleaning supplies to the Greater North County Chamber office to help families in need in our community for the 2018 Holiday season!
We want your creativity for our NOCO Scarecrow contest! Make your scarecrow funny, spooky, scary or goofy! Give us a call at the chamber office and we’ll come by and snap a picture! We’ll be asking the community via Facebook which scarecrow is their favorite and we’ll crown you the NOCO Scarecrow king or queen on Halloween! If you don’t have an office building, you are welcome to use our Chamber lawn! Call the office at 314-831-3500.
Bring your family and friends for our Run, Kick, & Play at the Shrine on October 20th! We will have bounce houses, a petting zoo and different activities for the kiddos and food will be available throughout the day! Cheer on your favorite kickballers and runners! We have partnered with the Race to the Shrine for a wonderful fun-filled day! Please help us make the event a great success! Homerun sponsors for the Kickball event are North County Inc., Safe Harbor Finance & Insurance, and State Farm. Thanks to the City of Florissant for sponsoring the evening concert with the Bob Kuban Band that will wrap up the day!
Sign up now for our Membership Luncheon on October 17th at Pirrone’s! SCORE will be presenting E-commerce or Brick & Mortar for Your Small Business? The luncheon sponsor will be the Rotary Club of Florissant and the non-profit of the month is Life Source Consultants, a domestic violence service helping people dealing with domestic abuse.
Please join us for October’s Business After Hours on Thursday, October 11th at Helfers Bakery from 5-7 p.m. Bring a friend, a spouse or a colleague! The more the merrier!
