President’s Report – March 2019

Hello March! As Spring hopefully greets us, I’m reminded that it is the time of year for us to be refreshed, renewed and refocused. As you set your clock forward on March 10th, please do so with an optimistic outlook that a new season can bring new beginnings and ideas for yourself, your career and your life.

Here at the Chamber, we have many things to look forward to! This is our last month collecting items for our Helping the Homeless campaign, you have until March 29th to drop off donations at the Chamber office. We will be giving these donations to our member charities, school districts and first responders, so please give generously.

If you have not done so already, please reserve your table of 8 for our April 13th Music Trivia Night. It’s going to be the best yet! Mark your calendar for our Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, June 7th! The price is $100 per golfer, so bring some friends for a beautiful day of golf at the Florissant Golf Course.

We would like to invite you to attend our 2019 Legislative Luncheon hosted by SSM Health DePaul Hospital for Friday, March 15th from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the DePaul Hospital May Room. There is a minimum $10 donation that will go towards our Scholarship Fund to attend the event.  Seating is limited to the first 50 reservations. Please reserve your spot by calling the chamber office at 314-831-3500 or emailing Danielle@greaternorthcountychamber.com.  This event will give you the opportunity to speak with local legislators and hear about the committees and legislation they are involved in on our behalf.

Don’t forget Business After Hours on March 14th at Johnny Londoff Chevrolet from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Sign up for the March Luncheon as we partner with Community News for “The Best of North County” awards on March 20th! We are looking for volunteers to help us build a float for our Queen Candidate for the Valley of Flowers! If you’re interested, please call us at the Chamber office at 314-831-3500.

Also, we need committee members for our Foundation/501C3 Committee.  This would only consist of a few meetings to research if a Foundation is a good idea for the Chamber.

In conclusion, we have many opportunities for you to get actively involved in the Greater North County Chamber! Together, we can make a positive impact in our community!
