President’s Report – July 2022
Summer is in full swing here in our community and as July strolls into our lives, it’s nice to take a pause and enjoy the moment. July holds a very special place in my heart as it is the month that marks my FIVE-year anniversary as your Chamber president. It’s been an incredible 5 years, with a lot of learning, a lot of new ideas, and a lot of fun… I can’t say enough about the amazing team we have here at the Chamber and the amazing Chamber family we have… In my book, we’re second to none!
I’ve started my four-year certification with the US Chamber’s Institute for Organizational Management. I’m very excited about the education and opportunities this has opened for us to serve at an even greater capacity in the community! So here’s to the next 3 years!
So what’s ahead? We’ve got our Scholarship Bowl on Thursday, August 4th at Crest Bowl from 6-9 p.m. Don’t hesitate to get a team of 6 together! Remember that all the proceeds go directly to our scholarship fund that help our young scholars in achieving their dreams!
Ladies! Save the Date for September 23rd for the Chamber’s Annual Women’s Empowerment Seminar! We have lined up phenomenal speakers for the day! Call the chamber office today! Sponsorships are available.
Sign up now for our Membership Luncheon on July 20th at Catering To You! We will be hearing from our Economic Development Directors from the Cities of Ferguson, Florissant, Hazelwood, and Jennings. They will be speaking on business developments and opportunities in their cities. PLEASE BRING NON-PERISHABLE FOODS AT THE LUNCHEON as we are collecting for TEAM Food Pantry.
We will be having a Membership Orientation on August 24th at 9:30 a.m. You don’t have to be a new member to attend this, we all need refresher courses about what the Chamber has to offer! PLEASE JOIN US and call the Chamber office to sign up!
I hope you enjoy your 4th of July celebrations and if you have yet to make plans, we have several happenings across all of our cities! Let’s remember what Independence Day stands for and celebrate the liberties that we all enjoy in this great nation. God bless America.
