President’s Report – July 2018
Summer is in full swing here in our community and as July strolls into our lives, it’s hard to imagine that over half the year has passed. I think about our amazing accomplishments that fuels us to persevere towards the work that we still have ahead of us. July holds a very special place in my heart as it is the month that marks my one-year anniversary as your Chamber president. It’s been an incredible year, with a lot of learning, a lot of new ideas, and a lot of fun. I can’t say enough about the amazing team we have here at the Chamber. Our Board of Directors are passionate individuals that give me the green light to push ahead with innovative ideas for our chamber! Jaime, our Development Manager is a rock star and helps me organize and accomplish so many of our new programs, and Danielle is a wonderful, new addition to our upbeat team!
So what’s ahead? We’ve got our Scholarship Bowl on Thursday, August 2nd at Crest Bowl from 6-9 p.m. We are already half-way sold out, so don’t hesitate to get a team of 6 together! Remember that all the proceeds go directly to our scholarship fund that help our young scholars in achieving their dreams!

We will be having a Membership Orientation on July 30th at 9 a.m. You don’t have to be a new member to attend this, we all need refresher courses about what the Chamber has to offer! PLEASE JOIN US and call the Chamber office to sign up!
Last but not least, thank you for all of those that dropped off canned goods for our Food Drive. We were able to partner with the Florissant Police Department in making sure we collected food to our local pantries include TEAM and other non-profit agencies helping to fight hunger in our community!
I hope you enjoy your 4th of July celebrations and if you have yet to make plans, we have several happenings across all of our cities! Let’s remember what Independence Day stands for and celebrate the liberties that we all enjoy in this great nation. God bless America.
