President’s Report – February 2019
Happy February! I blinked and January passed. Our January Installation Luncheon was wonderful as we installed our 2019 Board of Directors. The Chamber also recognized outstanding Chamber members that have gone above and beyond… Dana Grimm with the Daniel and Henry Company was the recipient of the Cathy Behlmann Volunteer of the Year; American Family’s Paul Manganelli was named Ambassador of the Year; and Western & Southern’ s Robert Whitlock was honored as Rookie of the Year.
As we roll into the month of love, we will have our very own Valentino visiting different chamber businesses to give you gift ideas for the ones you love. So watch out for our little Valentino going on Facebook Live! If you’re interested in being one of our stops, please call the office.
Also, space is limited for our March 15th, Legislative Luncheon sponsored by SSM Health DePaul at the DePaul May Room. The event is from 11:30-1 p.m. There is a minimum $10 donation towards the Chamber’s Scholarship Fund to attend. Please call Danielle at 314-831-3500 to reserve your spot.
Our Music Trivia for April 13th is well on its way! Don’t forget to get a table before it’s too late, sponsorships are still available! Attendees that bring a pack of diapers or formula for the Crisis Nursery will be entered in a drawing.
Make sure to vote for your favorite North County Business for Community News’ “The Best in North County”. Please visit the Community News website at mycnews.com.
CAREER FAIR this fall! If you would like to participate in the committee, please email Jaime at Jaime@greaternorthcountychamber.com to be added to the list! Be part of the process!
Lastly, if you are not involved in a committee, we would love for you to get involved! We are always looking for our chamber members to participate in making our events more creative and strengthening our chamber. Please call the chamber office and we would love to share with you the different opportunities for you to get involved.
Last but not least, the Missouri Chamber created a new program for employers and college age students to post and learn about available internships in Missouri. You do not have to be a Missouri Chamber member and the web-based portal is free. For more information, please visit mointernconnect.com.
I leave you with this thought by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., “If I cannot do great things, I can do small things in a great way.”
