President’s Report – April 2020
During these unprecedented times, let’s remind ourselves of the goodness in humanity and that, together, no matter the difficulty, we will get to the other side. Let’s keep our thoughts and prayers to those directly affected by COVID-19: the patients, their families and loved ones, our first responders, and most especially, our medical and nursing staff that are in the throws of this ugly virus.
As life around us postpones, cancels and holds, the Chamber is doing our best to still be present in our community. We’ve come up with creative ways to hold virtual networking meetings, seminars and such… more to follow on that. If you don’t already follow us on social media, please do so! @greaternorthcountychamber
We have campaigns happening to help #ForwardNorthCounty and keep us connected while practicing social distancing. There’s something new everyday! And if you have flyers or news or anything you’d like to share, please email it over to us venus@gnccstl.com and we’ll be happy to pass it along.
These past couple of weeks have shown us the true meaning of partnerships and collaborations. We have been on conference calls/virtual webinars with the County Executive, the Missouri Chamber, the Regional Chamber, North County Inc., the SBA, the Small Business Majority and other chambers around the community as we grapple with uncertain times and figure out how to navigate and support our community.
While we don’t have all the answers, we have tried our best to convey all information we are receiving. We have also created a special tab on our website during this crisis and keep it updated with all the latest information that we’re receiving: www.gnccstl.com/covid-19
Your health, your family, and your business is very important to us. Let’s all try to keep our spirits up and know that we’re all in this together. The Chamber is here for you! The staff is currently working from home; but we are here to chat, talk, listen, and always serve!
Until we see each other face to face,
Venus
