From The President – January 2017
Happy 2017! May the New Year bring health, wealth, and happiness to all.
A lot is happening in the office to prepare for the new exciting year. New committees are being formed to prepare for our upcoming fundraisers. We are always looking for membership participation on our committees. It’s good to have new ideas and recommendations. Let us know which committee you would like to help on. (Music Trivia, Golf, Women’s Empowerment Seminar, Scavenger Hunt, Duck Races, Festivals, and Nite of Stars Gala.)
Please attend our January 18th membership luncheon honoring our business person of the year, Kurtis Barks (Complete Auto Body), and our installation of our board members. This is held at Christian Hospital Dietrich Building, Atrium Room.
Community News will be sponsoring “The Best in North County” again this year. Watch for the ad in the Community News this month and remember to vote for your favorite North County business.
We will be offering (5) $1000.00 scholarships and (1) $500.00 scholarship from Jacobs Ladder Ministries this year to local seniors in high school. Our local seniors can apply for our scholarships on our website, their school administration office, or call the our office for an application. All applications are due in the office by February 17th. Our Scholarship Bowl is held in August and all the money raised goes to the Scholarship Fund, so please participate in this great event.
We have a couple dates available for our Business After Hours this year. If interested please call the office to discuss.
