Meet our 2020 Business Person of the Year-Mike Moehlenkamp!

Congratulations to Mike Moehlenkamp of Gary’s Auto Service!

Mike Moehlenkamp is an entrepreneur and business leader.  He is active in the community as a volunteer, neighborhood advocate and champion of North County.  Mike purchased Gary’s Auto Service in January 2007 and has more than doubled the size of the business by offering professional, trust-worthy automotive repair to his loyal and expanding customer base.  Gary’s Auto Service has won the Best of North County several years running the latest being 2018 and recently awarded the 2019 Green Star Service Facility Award from the Midwest Auto Care Alliance.  Mike’s track-record for building Gary’s Auto Services comes on the foundation of years in management of automotive service fleet operations.  Mike was with Southwestern Bell Telephone company and St. Louis County government as a fleet manager prior to striking out on his own.

Mike is active in the automotive industry as Missouri state President of the AASP (Alliance of Automotive Service Professionals).  He serves on the Advisory Board of Ranken Technical Institute as well as other vocational technical programs.

Mike is past-Chair of the North County Chamber of Commerce and a current board member.  He is a board member of North County Incorporated and President of his neighborhood association.  Mike was very active in North County CYC as chairman and continues to service CYC as a basketball official.

Mike and his wife, Lisa, both grew up in Florissant and have enjoyed raising their family in the community they love.  In his spare time Mike enjoys St. Louis Blues hockey, restoring vintage automobiles, officiating high school basketball and football, and spending time with Lisa and their three adult children at their home at Lake of the Ozarks.
