Happenings in the GNC Chamber – March 2022

We welcomed new GNC Chamber Member,  Hood’s Automotive with a ribbon cutting ceremony and celebrated their 50th Anniversary!  Hood’s Automotive is located at 198 NW Industrial Blvd. in Bridgeton! You can give them a call at (314) 739-4611!

The weather kept us inside for most of February, however we were able to get out and visit a few of our members this month!  We visited our members that were celebrating longtime anniversaries with the GNC Chamber!  They were unable to attend our Nite of Stars event to receive their plaques so we went to them! Congratulations to Florissant Glass – 35 years; Keeven Appliance -25 Years; Koch Park Dental – 35 years; and TOPOS Surveying -35 years!

Thank you to Mr. Jim McHugh from the St. Louis County Election Board for being our guest speaker and for giving us some wonderful election information! Thank you to Catering to You for hosting our February Membership Luncheon! The food was delicious as always! A special thank you to Florissant Valley Health & Rehab for being our sponsor and to Good Shepherd Arts Center for being our Non-Profit of the Month!  Our little pigs Axel & Rose collected $111 for Good Shepherd Arts Center!

We’re a little extra at the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce! We had a great Taco Tuesday for 2-22-22 at work today! Thanks to Jon Vogt and the crew at Catering To You for the delicious food!! Everyone that came donated a minimum of $2 each with proceeds going to the TEAM Food Pantry –over $300 was collected! Thank you to everyone that came out and enjoyed the afternoon with us!

The February FUEL Lunch was one of the best we’ve had yet!  Our Chairwoman of FUEL, Brittany Lewis from Central Bank invited Sergeant Dominca Morrow from the Ferguson Police Department to come and speak to our group and she was phenomenal! Sgt. Morrow talked to us about all of the car theft, and break ins that are going on in our community and ways to avoid being a victim!  Sgt. Morrow blew our minds and made us rethink some of the things we do when we are out and about—did you know when you’re pumping gas that you should pull in and face the building and not the street? That way you will pay more attention to those that are wandering around the lot and standing around, so many tips!  Be on the lookout for her to appear at other GNC Chamber lunches!  Thank you Sgt. Morrow for being our speaker!
