GNCC Seeking President/CEO
The Greater North County Chamber of Commerce is seeking a talented individual committed to leading the partnership of over 470 businesses and business professionals to build a healthy economy and improve the quality of work and life in the North St. Louis County area. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong business professional who is interested in leveraging proven experience in the areas of marketing, event management, membership recruitment, board and committee management, and operational oversight. The Greater North County Chamber of Commerce is seeking a visionary leader to help advance its primary objectives:

- To encourage an orderly expansion and development of all segments of the community
- To contribute to the overall economic stability of the community
Job responsibilities include:
- Working in consultation with the Board of Directors and membership to develop a strategic plan that will enable the Chamber to engage more proactively with the business community for the benefit of North County
- Providing managerial oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Chamber, including leadership and management of staff
- Maintaining and developing programs and services designed to inform, educate and assist members to reach their full business potential
- Managing the finances of the Chamber, including the budget process, approving disbursements, signing checks, managing expenses and oversight of annual tax preparation in consult with our accountant
- Developing sources of non-dues revenue for the organization
- Recruiting and prospecting for new members and retaining existing membership
- Working with the Chamber Board of Directors to identify, recruit and develop volunteer leadership for Chamber events which will advance the agenda of the Chamber
- Serving as the Chamber’s official Spokesperson with media and primary liaison with elected and appointed government officials and the community
- Serving on community boards and organizations that will advance the goals and interests of the Chamber
The ideal candidate will have these key qualifications:
- Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing a strategic plan focused on growth
- Experience in operational business management, including financial and staff management
- A background in marketing or sales, with demonstrated success in relationship building and prospecting
- A track record of strong communications and presentation skills
- The ability to manage interpersonal relationships to effectively engage business and government leadersP
- Demonstrated experience in multi-tasking, delegating, consensus building
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or related field
- Five or more years of related experience
