From the President… October 2016

Time seems to be flying by, September has come and gone. With that being said, we had a successful Music Trivia Night on the 17th of September and so many people participated in the 80’s theme. You would have thought you stepped back in time with Madonna, Run DMC, and many others. Most importantly it is always great to be able to say the event made budget and then some. TEAM was our non-profit charity for this event and we were able to donate $519.00 to them along with many nonperishable items. Thank you to Bill Morrison and Adam Howell and their committee for making this night a success for everyone.

October brings our Women in Networking Empowerment Seminar. The theme is ‘Activate Your Network to Balance Your Mind, Body and Spirit.’ They will have hands on demonstrations with Yoga, Zumba, Personal Safety, and a fashion demo from day to night. The speaker will present Breath and Squeeze Stress Relief. This event takes place at Catering to You Banquet Center on October 12th from 9:00 am- 1:00 pm. Please call our office to purchase your tickets at $35/members and $40/non-member.

I cannot say it enough …we have an incredible staff here at the chamber! Debbie and Jaime work their fingers to the bones on every event we have, but we are only a staff of three. I cannot emphasize enough that we always need volunteers to make every event successful. Our chamber is only as strong as our membership and we NEED everyone to participate. Please consider volunteering for an event, committee or a monetary donation. Every little bit helps and together we are North County Strong.

A big welcome to our newest members: North County Surgery Christian Hospital, Show-Me’s -Florissant, Fort Taco-Florissant, Outback Steakhouse – Hazelwood, Saint Louis Crisis Nursery, Salon MJ2, and Jennings School District. We look forward to working together with you.

This month our lucky members we are highlighting for our Fan Appreciation are Catering To You and The Vino Experience. We will be stopping into your location with goodies and you will be highlighted on our website for the month of October. We are your biggest fans!
