Chair’s Message – June 2018

Greetings Chamber Comrades,

Summer is here! Many thanks to everyone who helped make our Golf Tournament on June 1 a great success! Everyone’s participation, whether through a sponsorship, being part of a foursome, donating items or volunteering all played a key role in making this one of best tournaments to date. Your participation is key to the Chamber’s continued success, and we are very grateful for our dedicated membership!

Now let’s set our sights on the annual Scholarship Bowl on Aug. 2 at Crest Bowl from 6-9 p.m. This is a very fun event so start pulling your teams together and plan to be there! All proceeds go directly into our scholarship fund to help advance North County students.

We’ll host our first Membership Breakfast on June 20. Christian Hospital Foundation is the breakfast sponsor and will share information on the upcoming Caregivers Conference on Aug. 28. The Florissant Valley Kiwanis is our non-profit of the month.

Now’s the time to clean out your home office and get organized, and bring your documents for shredding to Shred Day on Saturday, June 9, at West Community Credit Union from 9 a.m.-noon.

Women In Networking is hosting their monthly meeting on June 12 at Canolli’s. This continues to be a great opportunity for developing relationships and learning best practices from each other.

Young Professionals will gather on June 14 at Pirrone’s Pizzeria. This is an active and dynamic network organization of dedicated and talented young professionals ranging in ages from 21-40.

Let’s all plan to meet at the June Business After Hours at Hendel’s on June 21. Come out and mingle and make new friends and reconnect with old ones! Our Business After Hours continue to be very popular and provide the perfect setting to meet in a relaxed setting.

I share all these events we host each month to reiterate the importance of networking and gathering as a group to promote our business community. As you make your summer plans, please keep our Chamber gatherings in mind, and I look forward to seeing you all over the next few weeks!
