Chair’s Message – April 2018

Greetings Chamber Comrades,

Happy spring everyone! Our April showers came early and in abundance over the past few weeks to ensure this season’s growth. Much like your chamber membership, the more you put into it, the more your business will grow! We have many great opportunities ahead to make new contacts and reconnect with chamber friends and associates.

Please join me in welcoming our latest new members: St. Johns Bank; Meraki House Comics, LLC; TREE Industries, LLC; Walker Scottish Rite Clinic at Maryville University; Score; CAM Print Inc.; La Patisserie; Regions Bank; and Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 794. Check them all out on our website!

Like many of you, I’m looking forward to our “Saturday Night Fever” Music Trivia Night this coming Saturday, April 7. Big Papa G will be performing his music magic and entertaining a sellout crowd! Many thanks to all of you who are making this evening a great success.

The Women In Networking Luncheon is Tuesday, April 10, from noon-1:30 p.m. at Cannoli’s. The WIN group is a great way for the ladies in our chamber to come together and network and share best practices. Ladies, check it out if you haven’t already!

Our Business After Hours will be Thursday, April 12, from 5-7 p.m. at Get Well Family Chiropractic, 580 N. Hwy. 67, Suite 5. Many thanks to our host Dr. Robyn Lawrence. This is sure to be a great gathering and the perfect way to get to know your fellow chamber members at no cost to you in a casual networking atmosphere. I look forward to seeing you there!

April is a month of giving for the Chamber as we gather for our General Membership Meeting on April 18 at Norwood Hills Country Club to award scholarships to six very deserving high school students from our community. The luncheon will begin at 11 a.m. and we always have a seat for you and your guests. If you haven’t already registered please do it now! We will also spotlight the City of Black Jack at this meeting. April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and with that in mind our non-profit of the month is the St. Louis Crisis Nursery, which will benefit from your donations when we pass the piggy bank from table to table.

Looking ahead, our Golf Tournament is Friday, June 1, at Florissant Golf Club. Don’t miss out on this relaxing day as par shooters, hackers and duffers alike gather on the links. New this year is unlimited beer, soda and water. But one constant remains from year to year at our golf tournament and that is great fellowship! There are also all sorts of games and great food planned for the day. There’s still time to join in!

Until next time, may all of the best come your way!

Sincerely,
Bret Berigan
