Chair’s Message – April 2014
April is here and so is Spring, but you couldn’t tell it from the weather here lately. Spring is a time of growth so I thought it might be a good time to think about how you are growing your business and business relationships through your involvement in the Chamber. There are many opportunities to network and gain visibility for your business through Chamber events. Are you leveraging those opportunities?
I speak from experience when I say, I have developed helpful business connections and made some great friends by getting involved. We want to help you grow your business and we want to learn about how your business contributes to commerce in North County. So come on out to one of our monthly luncheons that take place on the third Wednesday of each month. The April luncheon will be on Wednesday, April 19th at Norwood Hills Country Club. We also have some social events coming up that combine fun with a networking opportunity. Keep your eyes open for more information on Music Trivia on April 29th, Golf Tournament on June 2nd, and Duck Races on July 29th. One of the best ways to get involved and get to know other Chamber members is to go “all in” and volunteer for one of the committees that are organizing these events. If that’s not possible based on your schedule, then organize a fun outing for a group of your employees or fiends and attend one of these events.
We want to get to know you and your business. We will be better as a North County business community when we are helping each other succeed through referrals and business connections. The Chamber is a great organization to help you leverage connections and support commerce in our community. If you have questions about how to get involved or way more information on any of these events, call me at 314-520-4296 or the Chamber office at 314-831-3500. I want to get to know you and ensure the Chamber is offering the support for business owners. But your Chamber experience is what you make of it and I welcome you to make the MOST of it.
Sincerely,
Mike Moehlenkamp
