Chair’s Letter – March 2021
Here we are in March. Spring training has begun and we have the promise of Spring. Hopefully, gone are the snows and frigid temperatures. I’m sure we’ll have bad weather. After all, March reputedly comes in like a lion.
We had a capacity attendance at our awards luncheon. Coming up this month, we have our salute to the “Best of North County” in conjunction with the Community News. Again, it would be a good idea to get your reservations in early. We also are having our second annual Virtual Scavenger Hunt on the 27th. This is designed to be a family friendly event. Our Chamber Staff has been working very hard to make this a fun event. So, we look forward to your participation.
We are in the middle of the Lenten Fish Fry season and a number of our members, both restaurants and non-profit’s have scheduled them. For the non-profits, these can be substantial money raisers that allow them to carry out their charitable activities during the rest of the year. As for the restaurants, we all know what a beating they have taken over the last year. Keep them in mind and remember to “Love Local”.
Coming up on April 17 is our annual Music Trivia Night. So, get your team together for some fun. Seating will be limited due to social distancing. Again, early reservations will be important.
More later,
Rick
