Chair’s Letter – December 2020
And in rolls December! Our roller coaster ride of a year is coming to an end. We have experienced a pandemic’s effects, and we have come together as a community to survive it. We have honed in on our computer skills and become semi-professionals on virtual networking platforms. And if you’re anything like me, you’ve tried your luck at several new recipes; I was successful at a few. This year certainly has not been what any of us expected, but it is what we were given. As we wrap the year up, let us reflect on the experiences that this year of uniqueness has brought upon us.
The Chamber is hosting its annual toy drive, and there’s still time to donate. Please drop off a new, unwrapped toy at the chamber office by December 11th. Don’t forget to register for the virtual December membership meeting held on December 16th. Our beloved Jingles the elf is back to celebrate the holidays with us; let us know if you would like him to pay you or your business a virtual visit. We welcome and encourage our members to serve on one or more of our numerous committees; contact the Chamber for more information. Chamber directories are now available. If interested, give us a call, and we’ll leave a stack outside for you (social distance style).
Remember that the Chamber team is here to assist in any way we can. Although we are not currently accepting in-person visitors, please don’t hesitate to reach out at 314-831-3500. It has been my pleasure to serve as the 2020 Board Chair. It is an experience that I will treasure and remember always. I have made valuable connections and learned a great deal about the inner workings of my community. Thank you all for contributing to a rewarding term. I pray that you and your families have a beautiful and safe holiday season. See you in 2021!
Yours in Service,
Dr. Misty C. Farr, Pharm.D.
Greater North County Chamber Board Chair
