From the President… March 2017

Time seems to be flying…can’t believe we are into March already.  Soon birds will be chirping, flowers will be blooming and we will spring forward on March 12th. With that being said, the Chamber office is springing into action with all the activities we have going on. We have our Blues Game Night Out on April 4th, Music Trivia on April 29th, Valley of Flowers food booth on May 5th-6th and the parade on May 7th, and a Cardinal Game Night on May 19th.  Our committees are already planning our Golf Tournament on June 2nd, Duck Races on July 29th, Scholarship Bowl on August 3rd, Women’s Empowerment Seminar on October 13th, Scavenger Hunt on October 21st, and Nite of Stars on December 1st….Whew!!! We encourage everyone to become involved in one way or another…join a committee, help sponsor an event or just attend events.  Building relationships are key to networking, therefore the more you are involved the more you will receive out of the Chamber. We think of the Chamber as one big family and we hope you do too.

Now I need to ask for a favor… if every one of you could send just 1 membership referral to our office imagine how we could grow! Anyone in sales knows a warm lead is far better than a cold lead. For every referral you send our way we will give a shout out to you and your business on our Facebook Page and for every referral that becomes a member you will receive a free membership luncheon. We will also be keeping a tally for the most referrals sent in to us and at the end of the year we will have a surprise in store for you. Ready, set, GO!!!

The office is in the process of calling all of our members to update our membership directory. Please make sure you have done this. You also have the opportunity to run an ad in our directory too. The Chamber’s directory is on our website and is interactive with any ad you run, if clicked on, it will go directly to your website.  Please take advantage of this opportunity to advertise.
