Chair’s Message – May 2018

Greetings Chamber Comrades,

Most importantly – have you signed up for the Chamber’s Golf Tournament on June 1? If you haven’t, please consider joining us for this annual day of fellowship as we all gather for a fun and full afternoon in support of our Chamber. There are open spots and everyone who participates is key to our continued success. This tournament really does get better each year and, many thanks to all of our sponsors for making it possible!

May is here and with it comes all sorts of activity as the school year draws to an end and summer is just around the corner. And the Chamber is no exception, with a full calendar this month.

In support of the Jennings School District, there’s a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, May 11, at Gary Gore Community Center. Welcome to all of our new members this month listed on our website!

The WIN Women In Networking Luncheon is on May 8. I encourage all of the chamber women to check it out if you haven’t already!

Our General Membership Luncheon is May 16 at Glen Echo Country Club, sponsored by the Rice House. The non-profit of the month is the Dewight E. Patton Jr. Foundation. I look forward to see all of you there! Our Monthly Business After Hours will be on Thursday, May 17, at West Community Credit Union, located at 18 Mullanphy Gardens Shopping Center, 63031. This is truly an impressive facility and ideal for an after-work gathering.

Looking ahead, our annual Scholarship Bowl is Aug. 2 at Crest Bowl from 6-9 p.m. Start pulling your team together and plan to be there! All proceeds go directly into our scholarship fund to help advance North County students!
