Chair’s Message – March 2018
Greetings Chamber Comrades,
It’s hard to believe that March is already here! We had some beautiful weather in February and it was reported to me that we had a great February membership luncheon at Catering to You Banquet Center. I want to thank Darla Tinker, our vice chair, for stepping in and covering the luncheon for me at the last minute when I was pulled into a work meeting. I was told she did a great job and I have no doubts that the food was also excellent. Also, many thanks to Total Access Urgent Care for sponsoring the luncheon. The non-profit of the month was Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
We have some great opportunities in March to gather, socialize, network and show our strength and support for our great North County community. There’s a happy hour at Show-Me’s on Tuesday, March 6, beginning at 5:30 p.m. On Thursday, March 8, is our March Business After Hours at Johnny Londoff Chevrolet. The Women in Networking Luncheon is on Tuesday, March 8, at Cannoli’s. Ladies, please register and plan to attend this one if you haven’t already done so!
I’m looking forward to breaking bread with all of you at the March General Membership Luncheon on March 21 at Glen Echo Country Club, when we will honor the Best of North County! Many thanks to Community News, our luncheon sponsor. The non-profit of the month is Old Jamestown Association, which will benefit from your donations when we pass the piggy bank from table to table.
Looking ahead to April, our “Saturday Night Fever” Music Trivia Night is on April 7. This truly is a fun evening and you’ll be sorry you missed it if you don’t attend! Just ask anyone who was there last year!
I mention all of these events and activities because, as said before many times, they provide the perfect opportunities for us to network, meet fellow business owners, learn of opportunities and leads in our community, and also sample some of the best foods in North County! And above all, you couldn’t ask for a better group of people to be with!
