Chair’s Message – December 2017
Can this really be the newsletter for December, already? I can’t believe how quickly the year has gone by and that it is already time to hand the Chairperson reigns over to Brett Berigan, who will be your Great North County Chairperson for 2018. First of all, I want to thank everyone for their support and participation this year. I’m not going to go through all we managed to accomplish but I feel very confident about the future of the Chamber with the addition of Venus and Brett as your Chair. The incoming Board for 2018 will be installed at the Installation Luncheon in January and all signs point to great momentum going into 2018.
Speaking of momentum, for those of you who missed this year’s Nite of Stars celebration you missed a great party. The room came alive with our Roaring 20’s theme and as a result of the hard work of Venus, Jaime and Michelle our attendance was up significantly. Speaking of the crowd, many guests got into the theme and showed up decked out in their 1920’s best. During the evening, many of our guests commented to me that it was one of the best Nite of Stars they can remember. Kudos to Darla Tinker and Kitty Harrison, who chaired the Nite of Stars committee.
This was the final event of the year and as we head into the holiday season, I want to take this opportunity to wish each and every one of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and best wishes for a successful 2018.
